Group and centre based activities

Getting out, meeting people, doing things

Group activities are about more than filling time. They are about building friendships, learning new things, and being part of something. Our programs bring NDIS participants together in structured, supported settings where everyone can participate at their own level.

Our support workers facilitate every session. They make sure nobody gets left out, they adapt activities to different ability levels, and they create an environment where people feel comfortable trying something new.

What we run

Social and recreational programs

Group outings to parks, beaches, and attractions. Cafe and restaurant visits. Board games, trivia, and social events. Seasonal celebrations. These programs help participants build friendships and enjoy leisure activities in a supportive group setting.

Skill building workshops

Cooking, budgeting, digital literacy, health and fitness, and creative arts. Practical skills learned in a social environment where you can learn from each other as well as the facilitator.

Community access groups

Volunteering, attending local events, visiting community centres, participating in cultural and sporting activities. Real community participation, not just outings.

Who it is for

NDIS participants who want to build social connections, try new activities, or develop skills in a group setting. Particularly useful if you are experiencing social isolation, building independence, or transitioning from school to adult life.

How it is funded

Under Core Supports (Assistance with Social and Community Participation) or Capacity Building (Increased Social and Community Participation). Costs are shared among participants, making group activities a cost effective way to access support.
